- I am the managing director of Travel UCD - the company behind TourCMS (a reservation system designed for small tour operators). We also run Small Fish Big Ocean (this website!)

What is this Small Fish Big Ocean all about? What is the big idea?
As a company we run TourCMS a web based reservation system devised around the needs of small tour operators and independent travel agents. Our business is therefore focussed on helping small travel companies (mainly tour operators) compete with larger travel companies online.

First of all let me congratulate you on the site, it is great to see a forum for small operators and niche agents. I would like to offer my input to the members with any questions they have with regards technical staffing issues within the industry. I supply technical contract and permanent staff to leading Tour Operators, Online Travel Agencies and Software Companies so I hope I can be of assistance to any of the members.

I like the format of the site Alex, it has great potential.
What a brilliant site, I've always thought that Tour Operators and Niche Travel Agencies could work more closely together and learn from each other.
Please could you let us know if there is a way to promote our own Blog site which is hosted on squarespace at www.selectworld.travel which could appear on our own profile page? in other words a direct link as opposed to using this sites blog page? It could just be I haven't searched this site as a newbie and found a way of doing it.
