"The other point is you mention "loyalty" - this area is challenging because a the more specialist the tour operator (i.e the less mainstream), the less loyalty matters, as a general rule e.g you may only visit a certain destination…"

I'm a travel startup founder, having previously set up a multimodal tool to find the best way between places across all forms of transport.
Describe your travel products:
We're creating a piece of software for travel agents, (to be used on their website or app) to help with customer engagement/retention - which enables people to easily plan travel bucket lists through experiences, then add it to a timeline - so travel agents know customer needs over the medium term
