New OTA (online travel agency ) and need help ?

I want to build OTA (online travel agency ) , but I have some questions I hope to help solve them:

1-  We want to get tickets from GDS like Galileo , Amadeus but they refuse to provide us ticket because we do not have the IATA license . we have  some suggested alternatives:

- Membership TTA. Is this provide access to booking tickets directly to the GDS ?
 
- Agent hosting Do you have a reservation system , or can I use their IATA code to access  to  booking tickets directly to the GDS  ? 


2- what is best cheap alternate for like me do not have IATA ? please give me link?

Hello Rami

Setting an OTA is quite a challenge nowadays mainly because you will be up against many mature, existing, services that will compete very strongly with you.

However if you have a set of customers who you know will book with you (because you understand a sector - or because you have commercial business deals such as for business travel) - then this is of course good. 

TTA is one route (if you are UK). Another is to look at some of the home working travel agent services (in the UK) as they can provide you tech (and good commercial deals) on product...... Google "homeoworking travel" to find a few likely companies there (e.g. Hays Travel, for example) . Most of these homeworking companies DO come with pre-conditions about industry expertise etc - that is something you would need to look at.

If you have an ATOL licence (whether via the TTA or another means), you should be able to ticket through a company with IATA licensing. Many are happy to have more tickets through their books in return for a ticketing fee. Quite low in some cases.

Some will let you queue up in a GDS and ticket through them.

If you are not an IATA agent to issue the ticket you can choose below mention option -

 

Option 1 : You can get the GDS connectivity for search, availability and price, but to issue a ticket you can queue the PNR to another IATA agents who are available in the market, it could be your friend, your known or any other travel agent.

 

Option 2 : Rather than GDS connectivity you can have a connectivity with airline consolidators like Travel Fusion, Mystifly etc. they does not required to have an IATA id to issue a ticket.

 

Option 3 : Being a QuadLabs we have our clients based in Qatar and other parts of middle east also, where we can help you to connect with them for ticketing purpose. There is a bridging technique used in GDS where you can configure your Amadeus with our client’s IATA ids for the ticketing purpose.
